Cecilia joined Estudio Ortiz & Asociados in 2012 where she is part of the Labor Department.
Her practice focuses on business advice on individual and collective labor law, representation of companies in judicial and administrative proceedings, labor audits. Prior to joining Ortiz y Asociados, Cecilia worked at the Severgnini, Robiola, Grinberg y Tombeur Law Firm, in the area of ​​Labor and Social Security law, acquiring extensive experience in individual and collective labor law matters.

Before joining Ortiz & Asociados, she worked in the corporate and financial law area of ​​the Mitrani, Caballero, Ojam & Ruiz Moreno law firm, providing advice to national and international clients in all types of business transactions, including corporate reorganizations and various commercial contracts. Carolina also worked in the banking law area of ​​the Marval, O'Farrel & Mairal law firm and in the regulatory law area of ​​the Rosso Alba, Francia & Ruiz Moreno law firm. In 2011, Carolina was hired by the New York office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, where she worked as an international associate, working on various commercial law and capital markets matters.

Carlos Ignacio Guaia (Off Counsel)
Carlos collaborates in litigation and arbitration matters.
Carlos graduated from the Universidad of Buenos Aires in 1980 and obtained an LL.M from Cornell Universty (NY, Estados Unidos) in 1988.

Prior to joining Ortiz & Asociados in 2013, Carlos was General Attorney for the City of Buenos Aires (2008-2010) and managing Partner in the firm Guaia Abogados.
He was legal advisor to IBM Argentina between 1988 and 1996 and a member of the Board of Director of a number of companies including IBM Argentina S.A., América Latina Logística S.A., Talleres Navales Dársena Norte S.A. and Hyundai Kia Machine America Corporation, among others. He was assistant counsel to the Federal Bar Association (Colegio Público de Abogados de la Capital Federal) between 2012-2014 where he was also a member of the General Assembly (2002-20014) and Director of the Lawyers Social Security (2004-2008).

Carlos is currently Professor of Commercial Arbitration at the Universidad del Salvador and a member of the Argentine Arbitration Committee (CARAT). He has published a number of articles on arbitration and international law.
